Diversity has become the IT word in the world of children’s literature today. Agents, publishers, and readers are actively seeking books with diverse characters, settings and situations. Author, SCBWI member, and library volunteer B A Binns will discuss the definition of diversity, along with the nuts and bolts of why, what, and how authors and illustrators can incorporate diversity in their stories.
